1. Octopus Chair by Maximo Riera

This amazing chair was designed by Spanish artist and designer Maximo Riera and took three years to manufacture and develop. Over 30 people worked on the product using advanced techniques.

2. Inventive 3D Book Art by Thomas Allen

I recently discovered this really cool inventive book art series made by Thomas Allen. Basically, he cuts out book covers and creates pop-up styled pieces which are photographed. Very original stuff.

3. Zen HTML5 and CSS3 Audio Player

This is a really neat bit of work from @samurai. He has created a modern audio player nicely packaged into a single circular shape which uses CSS3 transforms to morph from a circle to a square.

4. HTML5 Sketch

This experimental HTML5 web app enables you to sketch out stuff then spin it round. You can change the size of the brush and also add some  ‘vibration’ to the sketch to bring it alive, very cool!

Paradigm Shift, a project by Mateusz Sypien, explores the paradigm – a set of concepts, values, beliefs and assumptions that is accepted by the majority of a social group.

6. NoteSlate

NoteSlate is low cost tablet device with true one colour display, real paper look design, long life battery (180h), together with very handy usage and very simple and helpful interface for pen and paper.

7. Slyde: Interface Watch

Cool motion design presentation for an incredible looking futuristic watch by Slyde. The devices feature a subtly curved screen with some amazing looking animated interfaces.

8. Let’s Crate

Let’s Crate makes it ‘ridiculously easy’ to share a file with someone. You simply drag a file onto the crate graphic on the website, fill out two form fields, you then get a link to the file so you can share it.

9. Paper Sculptures

Calvin Nicholls creates incredible sculptures from paper. His work has been used by numerous international corporations and has has appeared in galleries throughout North America.

10. Back To Their Future

I really like this idea, by photographer Irina Werning, to re-photograph people in the same setting as in a childhood photo. Really interesting results.
