4mula design Launch Brand New Website & Blog

Were finally live! The new site is geared towards giving an insight into the technologies, practices and styles we currently employ, alongside offering useful information to the design community via the creative blog.

Our Services

One half of this website provides the latest information about our creative services and also a portfolio to showcase our latest client projects. Every so often we will also post detailed case studies to demonstrate the solutions we have provided to our clients.

Creative Blog

We aim to provide regular free content which will provide inspiration and resources to the creative/web design community. Commenting is enabled on all posts to offer ongoing discussions and feedback. Please feel free to interact and let us know your thoughts.

Site Features

User Interface

The website theme features transparent glass panels, so we decided to name it ‘Vitro’ which in Latin means ‘within the glass’. Here’s the definition:

Vitro: Literally, “in glass”, as in a test tube. A test that is performed in vitro is one that is done in glass or plastic vessels in a laboratory.

The website features a uniquely crafted user interface using various elements, such as:

  • Custom buttons
  • Interactive overlays
  • Glass panels
  • Helpful menu systems
  • Social media integration

All the interactive parts of the interface have rounded edges to emphasise functionality. Some of interactive user forms are presented using glass panels which are overlaid over the content making them quick and easy to use.

Tools Menu

The tools menu, at the top left of the header, contains some useful quick links:

  • Back to home
  • Contact us
  • Client support
  • Social networking
  • Bookmark the site
  • Subscribe to RSS feeds
  • Change the website style
  • Search

Three Sites-in-one

The ‘Website Style’ icon provides options to change the overall theme. You can choose from the default style, a minimal high-contrast black background style, or a clean bright style. In the future we may add new styles to choose from. The style you choose will remain when you revisit in the future.

Tweets

The tweets displayed in the sidebar are shown in real-time. The feed is from my Twitter account, please feel free to follow me, my username is @jaybee.

Explore

The explore tab in the sidebar is essentially a list of the tags used within articles. Use them to discover content which may be of interest.

User Feed

In the sidebar on the right you will find a user feed. This is so our visitors may share useful links to the community. Anyone can submit a link, we only ask that the links are of good quality and on topic.

Enjoy!

We hope you find the site useful and enjoyable to use. If you have any constructive feedback we would love to hear from you. If you spot any bugs, please Contact Us

Love this site, it’s great. It was a clever idea to have 3 sites in one. I love all the pop ups and little details.
    Good job man!

This is seriously, seriously sweet! I’m so curious to know how long this took you. Oh, and is it built in Joomla or WordPress?
    Amazing job!

The site is built with WordPress. I’ve been chipping away at it for around six months in-between client work. Many thanks for the comments :)

My commendations, good sir. Pleased to see such beautiful content on the internet. I’m currently in the process of designing my own website and properly setting up my brand. As a designer your website is now a huge inspiration to me and it’s force me to rethink certain design aesthetics / aspects. I also think you’ve done a great job with outlining the types of services you provide. Everything is very clear and transparent and I think it’s exactly what potential clients would be looking for.

    Once again – good job.
